A Quick Update

Enough with the giveaway publicity now, here is what I'm currently working on. It's a 1912 evening gown for the Titanic centennial. I also touched up my Titanic ''Swim'' dress, but haven't taken pictures yet. The new one is the 1912 christmas dress from this website. The pattern given is just a layout so I had to draft it. I used bits of the Simplicity 8339 (the Titanic-inspired one) pattern as a base for the underskirt and the bodice but modified the cut a little to get the deep V-neck shape. I made up the overskirt and the belt with the images I had.
This is the picture from the website:

Mine will have a cream crepe lining with a cream textured chiffon underskirt. The overskirt and overbodice will be of a very pretty and delicate pink silk. The belt will be black with gold beading (that's gonna take hours to make), and I'm still thinking about the look of the headband but there will be one and a feather which I have already purchased. I will also have some black ''Astoria'' shoes by American Duchess.

The patterning part is done and the pieces are all cut. I've also already started on the beading of the belt.  It's only a matter of time before I get it done!!
